The researchers, led by Dr. Jill Pell, analyzed data from over 500,000 people and found that adults who walked at a moderate pace (3-4 miles per hour) for just 5-15 minutes a day reduced their risk. The study’s findings suggest that brisk walking can be an effective way to prevent heart problems, particularly among women, those under 60, and those without obesity or high blood pressure. Experts agree that increasing physical activity can have numerous health benefits, but more research is needed to confirm these results.
