Bottom 10 College Football Teams to Watch in 2025

College football is back and the Bottom 10 is ready to kick off another season. From state teams looking to make a comeback to universities with new identities, here’s who you can expect to watch.

The State of Kent (0-12) is trying to turn its luck around after losing 21 games in a row. Kennesaw Mountain Landis State (2-10) also faces challenges after botching their coach firing. Meanwhile, UMass (2-10) returns to the MAC after being gone for nearly a decade.

Southern Missed (1-11) boasts an impressive roster with transfers from major conferences. The State University Fightin’ Accountants are dealing with NCAA issues and uncertain NIL payouts. Whew Mexico State (3-9) is considering skipping games this year, while Livin’ on Tulsa Time (3-9) aims to improve after a tough 2024 season.

FI(not A)U (4-8) moves up to FBS football, while Mizz-ery State (8-4, FCS) makes its FBS debut. I’m in … Delaware (9-2, FCS) brings its six national titles and impressive résumé to the FBS job fair.

As always, there are waiting list teams looking to make a name for themselves. From Georgia State Not Southern to ULM, these programs will be keeping an eye on the Bottom 10 in 2025.

With apologies to former Villanova running back Larry Glueck and others mentioned earlier, the 2025 preseason rankings bring attention to teams that need it most – or should I say, some of them definitely do.
