Bowers & Wilkins PX7 S3 Upgrade Offers Better Sound and Comfort

Bowers & Wilkins has released an upgraded version of its popular wireless headphones, the PX7 S3. The new design boasts a more comfortable fit and improved sound quality thanks to redesigned drivers.

The company’s latest offering features a “re-imagined industrial design” with a new button layout that enhances user experience. However, pricing and availability details remain unknown due to uncertainty surrounding tariffs.

Key upgrades include completely redesigned 40-millimeter biocellulose drive units, which reduce coloration and distortion while improving resolution and dynamics. The PX7 S3 also feature discrete headphone amplifiers in each earcup, enhancing sound quality with “notably more scale and energy.”

Bluetooth connectivity is supported through Qualcomm’s aptXTM Adaptive and aptX Lossless codecs, and the headphones are compatible with high-resolution streaming services like Qobuz and Tidal. Future software updates will add Bluetooth LE Audio capabilities.

Battery life is rated at up to 30 hours, with a 15-minute quick charge providing seven hours of playback. The PX7 S3 retain physical button controls on each earcup, offering tactile interaction and a customizable Music app for those preferring it over touch pad inputs.
