Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise made a surprise reunion at the London premiere of Pitt’s racing movie “F1”. The two A-list stars posed for photos together, marking a 31-year-old reunion since their last collaboration in Neil Jordan’s 1994 horror classic “Interview With the Vampire”.
Pitt recently expressed interest in reuniting with Cruise on screen again, but joked that he wouldn’t be willing to perform aerial stunts like his co-star. Cruise, however, is more interested in aerial action, having set a franchise-opening weekend record with “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, which has earned over $540 million globally.
Cruise also worked as director on Pitt’s film, bringing together two high-profile stars in the racing movie industry. Kosinski revealed that he had initially planned to reunite Cruise and Pitt for his own version of the racing drama “Ford v Ferrari”, but due to budget constraints. The role ultimately went to Christian Bale and Matt Damon.
Pitt’s “F1” is set to open in theaters on June 27, marking the start of Pitt’s summer blockbuster season alongside Cruise’s latest film, “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”.
