Brandon Sklenar has reaffirmed his support for “It Ends With Us”, the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel, amid the ongoing legal battle between co-stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni. The actor expressed his desire to keep the focus on the movie’s message about domestic violence rather than getting drawn into the drama.
Sklenar stated that he wants people to remember why they made the movie in the first place, which is to raise awareness about domestic violence. He also revealed that someone close to him has experienced similar issues and he’s been helping them navigate it. Sklenar avoided answering whether he’s “team Blake or team Justin”, as host Gayle King had jokingly asked.
The situation escalated after Lively filed a 10-claim complaint against Baldoni and his associates, accusing them of creating a hostile work environment and orchestrating a smear campaign. Sklenar previously expressed support for Lively on social media, calling for an end to the negative chatter about her.
As the case continues, many in Hollywood have rallied behind Lively and women’s rights. A trial date has been set for March 29, 2026, with Baldoni seeking $400 million from Reynolds and Lively in a lawsuit citing defamation and extortion. Sklenar hopes to put the drama behind him and focus on his career, which is currently gaining momentum.
