Braves vs Reds Break MLB Attendance Record

Bristol Motor Speedway will host the highest attendance for a single game in Major League Baseball history when the Atlanta Braves face the Cincinnati Reds on Aug. 2. More than 85,000 tickets have been sold, eclipsing the previous record of 84,587 set in 1954.

The game, called the MLB Speedway Classic, marks the first time an MLB game is played in Tennessee. The ceremony will feature Hall of Famers Chipper Jones and Johnny Bench taking part in a pregame flyover with four US Navy F/A-18 Super Hornets.

Country music stars Tim McGraw, Pitbull, and Jake Owen will perform special pregame concerts. A NASCAR “Victory Lane” celebration is also planned, featuring a custom trophy presentation for the winning team. The game will air on FOX Sports at 7:15 p.m. ET on Aug. 2.
