Brewers Call Up Misiorowski, Top Pitching Prospect

The Milwaukee Brewers have summoned right-hander Jacob Misiorowski to the major leagues, citing his impressive performance in Triple-A. Misiorowski, 23, boasts a 2.13 ERA and 80 strikeouts over 63⅓ innings this season. He has consistently hit triple digits on the fastball and features an array of effective secondary pitches.

Drafted in the second round out of junior college in Missouri, Misiorowski has shown premium stuff but faced questions about his ability to command it. The Brewers have taken a risk on him, opting for his high strikeout rate over concerns about his walk rate.

With the team currently dealing with injuries and needing solid starting pitching, Misiorowski’s promotion is seen as an opportunity to bolster their rotation. He averages 98 mph on his fastball and features a heavy-spinning curveball that induces strikeouts.

Misiorowski’s call-up could also have financial implications for the Brewers. As he’s not yet considered Super 2 status, which would entitle him to an extra year of arbitration, this promotion may save Milwaukee from potential salary increases in the future.
