Music legend Brian Wilson, founder of the iconic band The Beach Boys, has passed away at the age of 82. According to documents obtained by Fox News Digital, respiratory arrest was identified as his immediate cause of death.
Wilson’s cause of death was further complicated by conditions such as sepsis, cystitis, chronic respiratory failure, and kidney disease, as listed in the Los Angeles Medical Examiner’s report. An autopsy was not performed.
The Beach Boys’ family confirmed Wilson’s passing on social media earlier this month, expressing their grief and requesting privacy during this difficult time. The band, which included brothers Carl and Dennis Wilson, cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine, is one of the most commercially successful groups in music history, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
The news comes after Wilson was placed under a conservatorship last year due to a dementia diagnosis, which followed the death of his wife Melinda. The family had chosen LeeAnn Hard and Jean Sievers as co-conservators to oversee Wilson’s well-being and manage his affairs.
