A woman who vanished in Coventry over 50 years ago has been discovered alive, according to the West Midlands Police. Sheila Fox was just 16 when she disappeared from her home in central England in 1972. The police had believed she might be in a relationship with someone and moved away from the area.
To revive leads, the force shared a grainy photo of Fox online on Sunday. The public responded quickly, providing crucial information that helped track down the missing person. Fox was found “safe and well” living in another part of the country.
Detective Sergeant Jenna Shaw praised her team for solving the case after five decades of searching. She also recognized DC Shaun Reeve’s role in resolving the case with the help of the public, highlighting the importance of reuniting families with missing loved ones.
