Broccoli Recall Issued Due to Listeria Contamination

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has issued a Class I recall for Braga Fresh’s Marketside Broccoli Florets due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes, a bacteria that can cause serious infections. The recalled product was sold at Walmart stores in 20 states nationwide.

Those who have purchased broccoli florets from the affected areas should immediately discard them, even if they are past their best-by date. The FDA is warning consumers to check their freezers for any potential contaminated products, as people may still be storing them despite the recalled product’s best-by date having passed.
