Broncos QB Bo Nix Plays Through Back Injury

Denver Broncos quarterback Bo Nix played through a transverse process fracture in his back, which was revealed on the injury report for Week 13. Despite playing all 66 snaps and never appearing on the report again, Nix acknowledged that he was in pain, particularly after being slammed on his back by Raiders’ Maxx Crosby.

Nix finished the regular season with 3,775 passing yards and 29 touchdown passes, while also rushing for four more touchdowns and catching a touchdown. His toughness and mental resilience have impressed teammates, including right tackle Mike McGlinchey, who praised Nix’s ability to handle the physical and mental pressures of being a rookie quarterback and franchise face.

McGlinchey noted that Nix’s toughness is his greatest quality, not just physical but also mental, as he navigated the challenges of playing through an injury. Despite the initial pain and discomfort, Nix persevered and ultimately contributed to the team’s success.
