Bronze Bust of Suni Lee Stolen from Phalen Regional Park

A bronze bust of Olympic gymnast Suni Lee and a large rock bearing her name have been stolen from Phalen Regional Park in St. Paul, Minnesota. The theft occurred over the past 24 hours, according to police.

The bust, which was unveiled two years ago to honor Lee’s Olympic achievements, is valued at $33,000. It features Lee wearing a medal around her neck and was paid for with public funds and private donations.

Lee is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and the first Hmong-American Olympian. Her accomplishments have made her an international celebrity, including being named one of Time magazine’s 100 most influential people.

Police are seeking information on the bust’s whereabouts and urge anyone with knowledge to contact them by emailing [email protected].
