Browns Kicked Off OTAs with Positive Vibes and Community Focus

The Cleveland Browns officially kicked off organized team activities (OTAs) on May 27, marking the beginning of a new season. Head coach Kevin Stefanski expressed his satisfaction with the team’s performance in Phase Three drills, saying that players are doing everything asked of them.

During practice, all four quarterbacks – Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders – took reps throwing to different receivers and running backs. The team also worked on ball protection and received individual attention from coaches Mike Bloomgren, Ben Wilkerson, and Sanders Davis, who are helping T Dawand Jones recover from a leg fracture.

Stefanski praised Jones’s efforts, saying he’s doing a nice job despite the setback. The receiving corps also made their presence felt, with WRs Cedric Tillman, Jerry Jeudy, and Jamari Thrash catching passes during drills.

The defense had several notable moments, including CB Denzel Ward breaking up a pass intended for TE Blake Whiteheart. Rookie DT Mason Graham batted down a pass from Gabriel in an 11-on-11 period.

The team also used the OTAs to give back to their community. On Wednesday’s practice day, they celebrated Keepers Day by recognizing and supporting local nonprofits that create positive impact in Northeast Ohio. The Keepers Foundation, founded by Stefanski, donated funds to these organizations and provided opportunities for players and guests to interact with each other.

With six practices ahead of the mandatory veteran minicamp, the Browns are set to make the most of their OTAs.
