Browns’ Offense Gets Major Overhaul Under New Coach

The Cleveland Browns have given their offense a complete overhaul in the offseason, and it’s starting to take shape with the team beginning organized team activities this week. After parting ways with Ken Dorsey as offensive coordinator, Tommy Rees took over, along with new line coach Mike Bloomgren and significant spending on offense.

Four new quarterbacks – Kenny Pickett, Joe Flacco, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders – have been added to the mix, which could impact the quarterback competition. Coach Kevin Stefanski acknowledged the need for reps for all players, citing a desire to keep everyone “fresh” throughout the season.

The wide receiver room is inexperienced, with only Jerry Jeudy showing notable production from last year’s roster. Diontae Johnson joins Jeudy, providing strong route-running ability and the potential to fill a void opposite him. Young pass catchers Cedric Tillman and Jamari Thrash will also get opportunities.

Tight end David Njoku looks to bounce back after injuries, while Harold Fannin Jr., drafted in the third round, is expected to contribute as a versatile tight end. The offensive line has remained relatively stable, with several key players returning, including Joel Bitonio and Jack Conklin.

The team hopes that this overhaul will bring more consistency from a unit that’s been crucial for years, especially now that it’s more aligned with coach Stefanski’s running scheme.
