Browns See Travis Hunter as Primary Receiver

The Cleveland Browns are high on prospect Travis Hunter with the No. 2 overall pick in this spring’s draft. General Manager Andrew Berry plans to use Hunter primarily as a receiver, citing his exceptional ball skills as the key reason for this decision.

Hunter’s ability to play both ways makes him special, according to Berry. However, his standout attribute is his ball skills, which can be utilized 100 times during the season at receiver compared to just 30 on defense. The Browns will have their coaches and scouts debate where Hunter should be positioned, but any team he joins would be thrilled to have him.

In 2023, Hunter showcased his versatility with over 700 snaps played on both offense and defense, racking up 96 catches for 1,258 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also notched four interceptions on defense, demonstrating his ability to make plays on both sides of the ball.
