Buccaneers Sign Veteran QB Teddy Bridgewater

Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed veteran quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, bolstering their quarterback room after injuries to Michael Pratt and Baker Mayfield. The 32-year-old Bridgewater played for six teams from 2014-2024, compiling a 33-32 record with 15,120 passing yards and 75 touchdowns. With the Bucs, Bridgewater will provide experience alongside Kyle Trask, who will serve as the primary backup to starting quarterback Baker Mayfield. General manager Jason Licht had confirmed Bridgewater’s visit and noted that he was a key target during their pursuit of Tom Brady in 2020. Coach Todd Bowles praised Bridgewater’s “pro’s pro” qualities, citing his experience as an asset for the team.
