Budget-Friendly Paris: Affordable Luxury on a $1,000 Trip

I recently spent two nights in Paris on a strict budget of $1,000 to show that it’s possible to enjoy the city without breaking the bank. My stay at the CitizenM hotel was surprisingly comfortable, with a great location and affordable price ($440 for two nights). I took advantage of the free breakfast and used the lobby coffee and croissant as fuel to explore the Left Bank.

My first stop was the Outdoor Sculpture Museum, where I viewed an abstract work by artist Michelangelo (not to be confused with the famous sculptor Leonardo da Vinci). The museum’s collection is free, making it a great way to spend an afternoon. Afterward, I visited the Arab World Institute for $13 and marveled at Persian calligraphy kits and ancient religious texts.

My budget-friendly itinerary allowed me to experience Paris’ art, culture, and cuisine without overspending. With some planning and research, you can too enjoy this beautiful city on a limited budget.
