Amazon is closing a convenient way for users to download their Kindle files before February 26. The feature allowed users with internet connectivity on their computers but not on their Kindles to easily access their ebook files. This change affects those who have bought books from the Kindle store and want to read them on other devices.
To overcome this, Jason Snell used a tool called Amazon Kindle eBook Bulk Downloader, which is no longer available after February 26. The tool allowed him to download 1,692 items in one go, and he was able to easily convert the files to other formats using Calibre.
For users who have a large library of Kindle books, it’s essential to make time before the deadline to download them. If you don’t already have an older Kindle or software that can circumvent Amazon’s copy protection, you might find it challenging to access your books on other platforms.
