WWE Superstar Bully Ray has weighed in on the escalating feud between John Cena and Cody Rhodes, praising Cena’s recent promo as “true” and a brutal takedown of Rhodes’ success. The segment aired on Monday’s Raw, where Cena took aim at Rhodes, calling him his “chauffeur” – a reference to their past relationship when Rhodes used to drive Cena around.
However, it was a specific line from Cena that caught Bully Ray’s attention: “You stole the blueprint of being the top guy in WWE from me.” In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray commended Cena for calling out Rhodes’ tactics, saying they are eerily familiar to his own past actions. He praised Cena for recognizing that everything Rhodes is doing now has been done before by others, including himself.
The two will face off in the main event of WrestleMania 41 on April 20 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
