BYU (No. 32) will compete in the Utah Regional at the Huntsman Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, against nine other teams from Wednesday, April 2 to Sunday, April 6. The team is set to face Utah State on Wednesday at 3 p.m. MT, with a potential path to advancing to day two if they win their dual meet.
Individual all-around competitors and event specialists competing in the Utah Regional include athletes from Iowa State, Eastern Michigan, Air Force, and other participating schools. The top teams based on national qualifying scores (NQS) were selected for regional competition, with host teams not competing.
The top 12 all-around competitors and top 16 event specialists will be placed geographically, keeping individuals from the same team together. The National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships will consist of eight teams, four all-around competitors, and 16 event specialists, with automatic berths awarded to the top two teams and top all-around competitor from each regional.
The national championships will take place April 17 and 19 in Fort Worth, Texas, at Dickies Arena.
