Hield fell short in the contest, scoring 23 points, but securing his spot in the second and final round alongside Garland. The event began on Saturday night before the main All-Star game on Sunday.
In other news, Mac McClung clinched his third consecutive Dunk Contest title, solidifying his position as a dunk contest specialist. The G League guard’s impressive performance featured three perfect 50s and left competition in awe. Castle was a close second, earning a perfect score for his final dunk.
