Cadillac Unveils Elevated Velocity Concept, Previewing Future of Luxury EV SUVs

Cadillac’s latest concept car, the Elevated Velocity, has debuted at the Quail luxury vehicle event in Carmel, California, showcasing the brand’s vision for high-performance electric luxury SUVs. The sleek four-door SUV features gull-wing doors, an adjustable air suspension, and electric all-wheel drive.

The Cadillac Elevated Velocity boasts a range of innovative features, including repelling sand from its body, advanced augmented-reality head-up displays, and 24-inch wheels. The concept also includes autonomous and performance-driving modes, as well as a separate set of driving modes for intense on-road driving, peak off-road performance, and interior luxury.

The Elevated Velocity’s profile is consistent with Cadillac’s current Lyriq and Celestiq models, with a long hood, spacious interior, short rear overhang, and fastback rear end. The concept also features Cadillac’s signature vertical lighting, illuminated front and rear badges, and Vapor Blue exterior paint.

The SUV’s interior includes modern design elements, such as four pedestal bucket seats, a floating center console, and a yoke-style steering wheel with a hub-mounted display screen. The augmented reality head-up display provides essential information to the driver, while the interior colors and materials include luxury options like Morello red leather and Cerise red fabric.

While Cadillac doesn’t plan to build the Elevated Velocity, its features and design will influence the brand’s upcoming performance models. The concept is part of a growing trend in the market for high-performance electric luxury SUVs, which Cadillac expects to see grow in the coming years.
