CalDigit has announced two new hubs designed specifically for laptop users, the TS5 and TS5 Plus, both equipped with Thunderbolt 5 technology. The TS5 features 15 ports, including two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports with 7.5- and 20-watt charging capabilities, a combined 3.5-mm Jack, and three Thunderbolt 5 ports with support for up to 140 W charging.
The newer TS5 Plus model boasts 20 ports, offering additional power and connectivity options, such as an extra USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 port, faster 10-gigabit Ethernet, and two Thunderbolt 5 ports with 36 W charging capabilities.
Both hubs allow for seamless connections of up to two 8K monitors at 60 Hz or more displays with lower resolutions and higher refresh rates. They also feature Boost Mode, security locks, and versatile installation options.
The CalDigit TS5 will retail for $370 and become available in May, while the TS5 Plus will cost $500 and hit stores by the end of April.
