Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is set to launch on November 14 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game promises to deliver three major pillars of the Treyarch’s Black Ops franchise: a story-based campaign, competitive multiplayer modes, and the return of Zombies mode.
The campaign will take players through a “world of fear” shaped by past decisions in previous games. Developer Miles Leslie described it as having a “blur” between reality, memories, and hallucinations, keeping players guessing what’s real and what isn’t.
Black Ops 7’s Endgame offers a replayable experience with global progression across campaign, multiplayer, and Zombies mode. Players can unlock new abilities, such as a Mega Jump, grappling hook, deployable shield, and drones, which carry over into other modes.
The game also introduces daily and weekly challenges, reticle challenges, and seasonal events. A new Overclock system will alter the functionality of Scorestreaks, field upgrades, and lethal equipment, while an updated Omnimovement system includes wall jumps and combat rolls.
In addition to a new 20v20 mode called Skirmish, Black Ops 7’s Zombies mode returns with new locations, including revisited Survival maps from Black Ops 2. The game will also feature alternate versions of original protagonists Richtofen, Nikolai, Takeo, and Dempsey in the continuation of the Zombies story.
A global beta test for the game is set to run October 2-8, with early access for players who pre-order and eligible Game Pass subscribers.
