Call of Duty Season 2 Teasers Unveil Mysterious New Map and Battle Pass

Call of Duty fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Season 2 for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, which is set to launch on January 28. Activision has teased some of the new content, including a hooded Operator who appears to be the main character of the season. The teaser images show a black-clad Operative with glowing purple eyes, dual blades, and an unknown Tanto SMG.

The battle pass for Season 2 is still under wraps, but fans speculate that the blade-equipped, hooded Operative will be the initial unlockable reward. A BlackCell variant of the Operator may also be included in the $30 seasonal upgrade.

However, some fans have expressed frustration with the AI-generated images used in the teaser campaign. The images appear to show Operators wall-running on a skyscraper, which is not a feature seen in previous Call of Duty games. This has sparked debate among players about the potential return of advanced movement mechanics.

Activision’s parent company, Microsoft, continues to invest in AI technologies and artificially generated imagery for its marketing materials. Fans have spotted references to popular SMGs from Call of Duty Zombies past, including the PPSh and FAL, which could potentially be returning with Season 2.

Other rumors suggest that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle-themed crossover content may be in the works. No official crossovers have been confirmed yet, but prominent leakers believe that TMNT could be the inspiration behind some upcoming weapons.

With less than a week to go until the launch, fans are eagerly anticipating what Season 2 will bring to Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
