Former New York Knick Cam Reddish has been traded to the Charlotte Hornets in a major move. The 10th overall pick from the 2019 draft will join Dalton Knecht and a first-round pick, while center Mark Williams is heading to Los Angeles with a pick swap in 2030. This trade gives the Lakers the interior depth they lost when Anthony Davis was sent to the Dallas Mavericks. Reddish, who has played for four teams in six seasons, including a stint as a starter with the Knicks, will now join the Hornets and aim to reclaim his NBA career narrative.
Redish’s tenure with the Lakers saw him play just over 18 minutes per game, a career-low. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason and will look to revive his career in relatively low-consequence settings. The Knicks will face Reddish and the Hornets on March 20 in Charlotte.
