Candace Cameron Bure Opens Up About Christmas Movies and Her Channel

Candace Cameron Bure, star of Full House and Fuller House, is no stranger to Christmas movies. With a steady stream of titles on the Hallmark Channel and her own production banner, CandyRock, she’s become known as the Queen of Christmas.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Cameron Bure discussed what she looks for in a new holiday film, why she scrapped a project pairing her with fellow Hallmark star Cameron Mathison before finding a better match, and how she balances her faith-based values with her audience.

Cameron Bure says she’s always on the lookout for fresh stories that resonate with her audience. “I read so many Christmas scripts all year long,” she explained. “I’m looking for something that feels fresh to me and will grab my audience.”

The actress recently starred in two new Christmas films, including Home Sweet Christmas, which pairs her with fellow Hallmark star Cameron Mathison in a heartwarming story about childhood friends reunited.

Cameron Bure has also faced criticism over her network’s emphasis on traditional values. In 2022, she sparked headlines when she spoke out about the importance of faith-based content, but later, her former Full House co-star Jodie Sweetin was unhappy with the channel acquiring one of her films.

Despite the challenges, Cameron Bure remains committed to producing movies that reflect her values. “I love doing what I do,” she said, hinting at plans for another four to five movies in 2025.

The Queen of Christmas shows no signs of slowing down, and fans can expect more holiday cheer from Candace Cameron Bure in the years to come.
