Carolina Hurricanes coach Rod Brind’Amour says Jalen Chatfield’s status for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final remains uncertain after the defenseman missed Game 5 against Washington. However, a recent practice session with his team is seen as a positive sign.
Scott Morrow may replace Chatfield in the lineup if he misses another game. Brind’Amour cited experience and familiarity with the system as reasons for choosing Morrow over Alexander Nikishin. Frederik Andersen will start between the pipes for Carolina.
Here’s tonight’s projected lineup:

– Sebastian Aho, Andrei Svechnikov, and Jordan Jarvis
– Brock Hall, Cole Rosslovic, and Tyler Stankoven

– Brett Robinson, Antti Kotkaniemi, and Seth Blake
Defense:

– Jake Slavin, Noah Hanifin, and Brent Burns
– Kevin Orlovic, Vincent Walker, and Shayne Gostisbehere
