The Cannes Film Festival has unveiled its powerful and diverse jury lineup for its 78th edition, featuring a mix of actors, filmmakers, authors, and industry experts. Led by chairperson Juliette Binoche, the jury includes notable figures such as Halle Berry, Jeremy Strong, Payal Kapadia, Hong Sangsoo, Alba Rohrwacher, Leïla Slimani, Dieudo Hamadi, Carlos Reygadas, and Greta Gerwig.
This year’s lineup boasts a strong presence of Hollywood talent, including Lynne Ramsay, Kristen Stewart, Spike Lee, Kelly Reichardt, Oliver Hermanus, Ari Aster, Wes Anderson, and Scarlett Johansson. The festival will take place from May 13-24, with the winners of this year’s competition announced on May 24 at the closing ceremony.
Notable jurors include Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry, who became the first African-American woman to win Best Actress at the Oscars for her performance in “Monster’s Ball.” French writer Leïla Slimani has also been recognized for her work as a book author, winning the Prix Goncourt 2016 for her novel “Lullaby.”
