Capcom has made several major announcements during its recent Spotlight broadcasts and Monster Hunter Wilds showcase. The company revealed that a second Open Beta Test for Monster Hunter Wilds will be held later this month, allowing players to challenge Arkveld and hunt the elusive “White Wraith.”
Additionally, Capcom showcased new details for Onimusha: Way of the Sword, which follows the story of a protagonist wielding the Oni Gauntlet as they fight off demonic Genma. The game is set to release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
A remaster of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny has also been confirmed, with enhanced graphics revealed during the Capcom Spotlight. The title will be released in 2025 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam.
Meanwhile, MARVEL vs. CAPCOM Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics is now available as a digital download on Xbox One, while its sequel, Capcom Fighting Collection 2, will be released on May 16 with pre-orders available starting today. The latter collection includes titles like Capcom vs SNK 2: Mark of the Millennium 2001 and Power Stone 2, featuring improved gameplay and online play.
Finally, Street Fighter 6 has gained a new character, Mai, who joins the roster as its third Year 2 character. The game’s grand prize for the upcoming Street Fighter Capcom Cup event has also been revealed, standing at $1 million, with the tournament set to take place from March 5-9, 2025.
