Capcom has recently revealed several details about its upcoming games, including the Onimusha series’ return with Way of the Sword, a remastered version of Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, and the launch of Capcom Fighting Collection 2.
Onimusha: Way of the Sword is set to release in 2026 for a challenging yet enjoyable experience, featuring engaging enemies and a new protagonist. The game will be set in the Edo Period and will focus on recreating historical locations with a visceral sword-fighting action gameplay mechanic.
In other news, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny will receive a remastered version in 2025 to help bridge the gap until the release of Way of the Sword. Monster Hunter Wilds’ second Open Beta test is also approaching, featuring new content and gameplay mechanics, including the flagship monster Arkveld.
Additionally, Capcom Fighting Collection 2 has been confirmed for May 16, 2025, with a roster of fighting games from various titles, including Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper. Street Fighter 6 will add Fatal Fury’s Mai to its roster on February 5.
Capcom also showcased new details about Monster Hunter Wilds, revealing the Iceshard Cliffs and several new enemies, as well as the launch window for the game on February 28.
