Country singer Jason Aldean has praised Carrie Underwood for her impressive performance at President Donald Trump’s second inauguration, despite experiencing a technical glitch during her rendition of “America the Beautiful”.
The 41-year-old American Idol winner was invited to sing at the historic event, and she made it work by quickly offering to sing a cappella when her equipment failed. Her bravery under pressure impressed Aldean, who thinks it’s a “big move” for her to perform without a track.
Underwood wasn’t the only country artist at Trump’s inauguration – Jason Aldean also performed at the Liberty Ball for the president’s supporters. Aldean expressed his excitement about being part of the event, calling it an “electric” experience.
After the performance, Underwood praised the importance of unity and looking to the future in a statement. Her husband, Brittany, also shared his thoughts on social media, saying that the experience made all the scrutiny worth it.
Jason Aldean is now gearing up for his Full Throttle Tour, which kicks off on May 23 at Blossom Music Center in Ohio. The tour will visit nearly 30 cities and marks another great year of performances for the country singer.
