Cavs Match ’09-10 Record with Win Over Knicks

The Cleveland Cavaliers have matched the second-most wins in franchise history, defeating the New York Knicks 124-105. Donovan Mitchell scored 27 points, while Jarrett Allen added 21 points to help the team achieve a five-game lead for the top seed in the Eastern Conference.

The Cavaliers trailed at halftime but took control in the third quarter, going on a 15-2 run over four minutes to secure their win. The game was tied at 83-all before they surged ahead.

New York’s Karl-Anthony Towns had 25 points and seven turnovers, while OG Anunoby scored 23. The Knicks are now 8-6 without star guard Jalen Brunson, who has been cleared to resume basketball activities but may return for the final week of the regular season.

The Cavaliers have scored at least 120 points 44 times this season, a franchise record. Forward Dean Wade did not play due to illness. The team will travel to the Spurs on Thursday night after their game against Atlanta on Saturday.
