Cavs Stun Celtics in Thrilling Comeback Victory

The Cleveland Cavaliers staged an incredible comeback to defeat the Boston Celtics 123-116 at TD Garden on Friday night. The Cavs trailed by as many as 22 points but rallied behind a strong second-half performance from Donovan Mitchell and Evan Mobley.

Boston began the game strong, taking an early lead, but Jayson Tatum’s 30-point halftime effort was matched by Jaylen Brown’s 19 points to keep Boston ahead. However, Cleveland cut the deficit to 10 points before Mitchell’s clutch three-pointer and two free throws tied the game with just over a minute left in the third quarter.

The Cavs took control of the fourth quarter, with Mobley hitting multiple three-pointers and scoring 17 points, including a put-back that gave him 12 rebounds. The Celtics struggled to keep up, and Cleveland’s lead grew to five points before Brown scored to cut it back to two.

In the end, Mitchell’s 41 points led the Cavs to their 49th win of the season, while Mobley added 20 points and 12 rebounds. The victory propelled Cleveland to a 7.5-game lead over Boston in the Eastern Conference standings.
