CB Christian Benford Faces Concussion Implications After AFC Championship Injury

In a concerning development during the AFC championship game against the Chiefs, Buffalo Bills cornerback Christian Benford left the field on a cart after suffering his second concussion in two games. The injury occurred late in the first quarter when Benford and teammate Damar Hamlin were involved in a helmet collision near the sideline following a tackle of Chiefs receiver Xavier Worthy. Benford appeared to fall after standing up, requiring assistance from teammates and staff to maintain balance.

Bills coach Sean McDermott has ruled Benford out for the game despite clearing him to play earlier in the week. This latest injury further complicates an already challenging situation for the Bills secondary, which already lost starting cornerbacks Damar Hamlin (hip) and Taylor Rapp (back).

With Benford’s status uncertain and the team’s other key defenders sidelined, the Bills will need to rely on depth while preparing for a tough AFC championship against Kansas City.
