Cowboys wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens are hitting the ground running together, building a strong relationship on and off the field. The duo has been training together since Lamb’s second year in the NFL and is now putting their chemistry to the test as teammates.
Lamb, who was one of the first to welcome Pickens to the team, sees an opportunity for growth and learning from his new teammate. “We complement each other very well,” Lamb said. “He’s a tall figure with incredible ability to get high balls.”
Pickens is focused on building on his skills and absorbing what Lamb has to offer. He admires Lamb’s work ethic and dedication to the game, saying “I’m watching him every rep that he’s in… I’m going to go watch it after that.” For his part, Pickens brings a unique intermediate skillset, which he hopes to add to his arsenal.
With their first full practice session behind them, both players are eager to get back to work. Lamb praised the team’s head coach for creating an environment where they can learn and grow together. “Everything is kind of a business… So I wasn’t really too shocked or too excited,” Pickens said about his reaction to the trade that brought him to Dallas.
As the 2025 season approaches, both players have a lot to prove – on the field and off. Lamb has seen past rumors and concerns about Pickens’ maturity level, but remains confident in his new teammate’s abilities. “He hasn’t stopped smiling since he got here,” Lamb said of Pickens’ positive attitude.
With their complementary play styles and strong work ethic, Lamb and Pickens are poised to become a formidable duo for the Cowboys. As they look to write the story of their partnership, both players are focused on one thing: winning.
