Celebrating Pride Across the US in 2025

Pride season is here! The LGBTQ+ community is coming together to celebrate and protest for the rights they’ve achieved and are still fighting for. This year, five parades across the United States will showcase vibrant colors and a sense of unity.

One of the most iconic Pride events is New York City Pride, taking place on June 29. Honoring its legacy since 1970, this parade features marching contingents, grand marshals, and community allies. It begins at noon in Manhattan’s 5th Avenue and proceeds south and west.

Another notable event is Chicago Pride, happening on June 29 as well. This parade features 150 colorful entries and will travel a 20-block route through the Northalsted neighborhood. Entry to the event is free.

Los Angeles Pride will kick off its 55th edition on June 8 with actor Andrew Rannells as Celebrity Grand Marshal. The event includes extra performances, music, and celebrity visits, all available for free.

San Francisco Pride’s “Queer Joy is Resistance” theme serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for LGBTQ+ rights. The parade takes place on June 28-29 at 99 Grove in San Francisco. Tickets are available online.

Lastly, Washington, DC: Capital Pride will start from 14th and T Streets NW and end at Pennsylvania Avenue and 9th Streets NW. Marching contingents can register online to participate.

Whether you’re marching or watching, these events celebrate diversity, inclusion, and the resilience of the LGBTQ+ community.
