South Korean firm Samjong KPMG has released a report detailing the key trends and technological developments expected at CES 2025, the world’s largest information technology and consumer electronics show. The event will take place in Las Vegas from January 7-10.
According to the report, six major trends are identified as key areas of focus: artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, mobility, extended reality (XR), smart home, and digital healthcare. Samjong KPMG predicts significant interest in on-device AI technologies that integrate various products while minimizing user intervention.
In the mobility sector, advancements in camera technology, sensors, and software-defined vehicles are expected to lead to improved infotainment systems and enhanced passenger convenience. The report also highlights XR applications related to games and sports, smart home technologies combining AI and IoT, medical breakthroughs through AI integration, and energy tech linked to energy transition.
Industry leader Yeom Seung-hoon notes that CES 2025 will showcase the practical application of AI technology and business models, providing valuable insights for corporations. Samjong KPMG will also release a video on its YouTube channel for attendees, offering practical tips on exhibition zone characteristics and mobility methods.
