Artificial intelligence (AI) will be a major theme at CES 2025, which takes place from January 7-10 in Las Vegas. The show promises to feature advancements in AI-powered devices, wearable technology, and robotics. Nvidia, the founder and CEO of AI chip leader Nvidia, will give the opening keynote on Monday evening.
Nvidia plans to introduce new AI chips for PCs, including desktop graphics processing units based on its Blackwell architecture, which is rumored to be the GeForce RTX 50-series targeted at gamers and creators. The company may also announce an Arm-based central processing unit to compete with Qualcomm and AMD.
AI is increasingly being integrated into consumer devices, from smartphones and home appliances to digital health products. CES attendees can expect to see “AI everywhere” in everyday products, including TVs and potentially even toaster ovens.
Other hot product areas at CES 2025 include smart glasses, AI-powered wireless earbuds, and satellites. Companies like Meta and Samsung are expected to showcase their latest innovations in these fields.
The show will also feature a range of robots, from robot vacuums and lawn mowers to humanoid robots. Keynote speakers will include Ed Bastion, chief executive of Delta Air Lines, Julie Sweet, CEO of United Airlines, and Bob Swan, former CFO of Uber.
CES 2025 is expected to draw over 150,000 attendees and feature more than 4,500 exhibitors. The show will stray further from its roots as the Consumer Electronics Show, with a greater focus on emerging technologies like AI, quantum computing, and energy transition.
