Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department reported two new homicides on Wednesday. One occurred in the Fourth Ward, Uptown, with a victim found shot multiple times near 8th Street by officers around 6:30 p.m., pronounced dead at the scene. The second incident happened northeast Charlotte, near Druid Hills South, involving a victim with life-threatening injuries discovered by officers shortly before 10 p.m., also pronounced dead on-site.
