ChatGPT Tasks Allows Scheduling and Reminders for Enhanced Convenience

OpenAI has introduced ChatGPT Tasks, a new feature in its AI chatbot allowing users to schedule and remind them about various activities. The beta feature is now available to paying subscribers and will eventually be accessible to everyone.

With ChatGPT Tasks, users can create automated tasks that enable the bot to perform actions on scheduled times or send reminders for future events. These tasks are accessible through the web, mobile apps, and macOS desktop app, with plans to add support for Windows desktop app soon.

Users can utilize ChatGPT Tasks to receive AI-powered news briefings at specific times or be reminded of upcoming birthdays. The feature syncs across devices through the user’s ChatGPT account and runs whether they are online or offline. Notifications will be sent whenever a task is completed, but users can adjust their notification settings for preference.

The scheduling process involves simply stating the desired action to ChatGPT, such as requesting news briefings every Thursday at 3 p.m. The feature allows users to pause, edit, and delete tasks as needed. Additionally, users can access an overview of their scheduled tasks by clicking on their profile picture and navigating to the Tasks section.

A notable setting only available on the web interface is for notifications, allowing users to choose between push notifications, emails, or no notifications at all. This feature will provide more control over how users receive updates about their scheduled tasks.
