OpenAI has announced several upgrades to its popular AI tool, ChatGPT, aimed at improving productivity and workflow management for professionals worldwide. The new features include Connectors, Record Mode, and flexible pricing options.
Connectors allow users to link ChatGPT with their internal tools and systems, such as email providers and cloud storage services, to access their data more efficiently. This feature is now available in Deep Research for paid subscribers and additional connectors are also being added.
The Model Context Protocol (MCP) will enable workspace admins to build custom Connectors using an open standard, allowing seamless integration with proprietary systems and apps. The beta version of MCP is currently available to Team, Enterprise, and Edu admins.
Another key update is Record Mode, which enables ChatGPT to capture and transcribe meetings, identify key points, and take follow-up actions. This feature will soon be available to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, and Edu users for $1 as a welcome offer.
Lastly, OpenAI has introduced flexible pricing options in the form of credits added to existing workspaces in Enterprise and Teams plans. These credits grant access to advanced features and models without requiring additional subscriptions.
