Chicago Bears Offense Seeks Breakthrough Under New Coach Ben Johnson

The Chicago Bears offense is poised for a breakthrough under new head coach Ben Johnson, who has assembled a talented roster with high-priced interior linemen and top-10 tight end pick Cole Kmet. However, the team’s past struggles with the offense may still be a concern.

Quarterbacks Caleb Williams, Tyson Bagent, Case Keenum, Austin Reed, and D’Andre Swift will lead the charge. While Swift is expected to reunite with play caller Luke Getsy, his consistency has been questioned in the past. Williams, a top prospect, could make an instant impact if he develops chemistry with tight end DJ Moore.

The running back position features D’Andre Swift and Roschon Johnson, who may be used differently this season. Wide receivers DJ Moore, Rome Odunze, Luther Burden III, Olamide Zaccheaus, Devin Duvernay, Tyler Scott, Miles Boykin, John Jackson, Samori Toure, Maurice Alexander, JP Richardson, Jahdae Walker, Cole Kmet, Colston Loveland, Durham Smythe, Joel Wilson, Stephen Carlson, Jordan Murray, and Darnell Wright will look to make a name for themselves.

Tight ends Cole Kmet and Colston Loveland are expected to be key contributors. The offensive line features Darnell Wright, Jonah Jackson, Drew Dalman, Joe Thuney, Braxton Jones, Ozzy Trapilo, Kiran Amegadjie, Ryan Bates, Luke Newman, Bill Murray, Doug Kramer, Ricky Stromberg, and Chris Glaser.

The team’s ability to gel and perform under Johnson will be crucial. Will this season be different for the Bears offense?
