A police officer in the Chicago suburb of Hanover Park is under arrest for allegedly overstaying a tourist visa from Montenegro, according to the Department of Homeland Security. Radule Bojovic was reportedly “encountered” during an immigration-focused operation by ICE agents.
Bojovic had previously been announced as graduating from the Suburban Law Enforcement Academy and beginning field training with his new department. However, DHS claims he has been living illegally in the US for 10 years and is facing charges related to firearm possession, which is a felony for undocumented immigrants.
