Chiefs WR Rashee Rice Suspended 6 Games for DUI-Related Charges

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has been suspended six games by the NFL after pleading guilty to two third-degree felony charges related to a March crash in Dallas. The suspension stems from his involvement in a collision on the North Central Expressway, where he was driving at 119 mph and made “multiple aggressive maneuvers” before crashing into other vehicles. As part of his plea agreement, Rice received five-year deferred probation and 30 days in jail. He is expected to miss six games, including the team’s season opener against the Los Angeles Chargers. Rice’s attorney stated that he has taken responsibility for his actions and will continue working to make amends. The suspension comes after an investigation by the league, which had previously allowed him to practice with the team despite his pending charges.
