China and Indonesia Strengthen Economic Ties with New Investments

China and Indonesia have agreed to deepen their economic ties through new investments. During a visit by Chinese Premier Li Qiang to Jakarta, the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on bilateral transactions in local currencies.

The move aims to boost cooperation in key sectors such as tourism and agriculture. China Investment Corporation and Danantara Indonesia, both sovereign wealth funds, have also entered an investment agreement without disclosing further details.

The agreements are part of efforts by the two nations to strengthen their economic partnership and promote mutual growth. The central banks of China and Indonesia will work together to facilitate bilateral transactions in local currencies, paving the way for increased trade and investment between the two countries.
