China has lodged complaints with the United States over comments perceived as “irresponsible” and an attack on its cooperation with Panama on the Panama Canal. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian expressed hope that relevant parties would remain confident in their decisions, avoiding external interference and prioritizing bilateral relationship and long-term interests.
