China has exempted some recent imports from US tariffs, according to the American Chamber of Commerce in China (AmCham). The exemptions aim to mitigate economic fallout from the ongoing trade war between the two nations.
The move comes as Beijing seeks to reduce the impact of the 125% tariffs imposed on US goods. Some recent imports, including pharmaceuticals and chips, have not been subject to these tariffs, according to AmCham’s members.
