China’s stock market declined modestly after the US raised tariffs on nearly all Chinese products, sparking concerns over economic impact. Despite this, investors are betting that Beijing will implement further stimulus measures to mitigate the effects. The Hong Kong-listed gauge of Chinese shares narrowed its losses to 1.3%, while the CSI 300 Index dropped 0.6%, compared to an initial decline of 1.1%.
