China Unveils Cutting-Edge Sixth-Gen Stealth Fighter Jet

China has unveiled its latest military technology, a novel sixth-generation stealth fighter jet that has generated significant buzz on social media. The aircraft, which was seen flying over Chengdu city in southwest Sichuan province, appears to be the most advanced manned fighters in the world.

The two jets are tailless, meaning they do not have vertical stabilizers, and are designed with computers that interpret pilot control inputs, making it impossible for radar detection. The larger of the two designs has a unique diamond-shaped configuration with three air intakes, while the smaller one has a more conventional layout without a tail.

China’s military is showcasing its new technology at the end of the year, ahead of Western calendar norms. This marks the latest in China’s efforts to modernize its military, with 250 J-20 stealth fighters already in service. The designs demonstrate the willingness of China’s aviation industry to experiment and innovate.

Experts praise the novel design, saying it is highly original and deserving of recognition. However, the US defense department has remained tight-lipped on the matter, acknowledging only that they are aware of reports without making further comments.

Meanwhile, China has also launched a new amphibious assault ship, displacing 40,000 tonnes and equipped with an electromagnetic catapult to launch fighter jets directly off its deck. This marks another significant milestone in China’s military modernization efforts.
